Can I apply the stickers myself?
Small stickers are easy to apply with a little skill. Large designs need at least two people and plenty of experience to go on straight and without creases.
Can paraglider lettering be removed?
The sticker can still be lifted while it’s being applied, but not afterwards. Plan lettering for the lifetime of the wing.
How are prices calculated?
Prices are based on the amount of material, the work involved and the number of colours. The main cost factor is the square metres of material used.
How long does paraglider lettering last?
Our lettering is weatherproof, very durable and designed for the lifetime of your wing.
Does lettering change how the wing flies?
Applied without creases and at a sensible size, there’s no noticeable difference. skysticker is a ripstop nylon fabric itself and stretches much like the wing cloth. For large areas we advise you on size and use the lighter ultralight material.
How much does lettering weigh?
Including adhesive, skysticker light+ weighs around 88 g per square metre, ultralight around 77 g. A 1 × 0.5 m logo in light+ therefore adds about 44 g to your wing. Only the area actually covered counts – the gaps between letters weigh nothing.
How big can the design be?
There are no fixed maximum sizes – it depends on the model and size of your wing. In general most of the surface can be used, on both the top and bottom. Your design proof shows how much space your wing offers.
Do I need a vector file?
No. A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) is best, but if you only have a high-resolution JPG or PNG, we’ll convert it for you.
How do I send my wing?
Pack the wing in its inner bag, well padded in a cardboard box, and add a note with your name and quote number. We recommend insured shipping, as the parcel travels at the sender’s risk. We send it back insured up to €2,500; depending on weight this costs €15–25. By appointment you can also drop off and collect your wing in Prien.
Can silicone-coated cloth be lettered?
No. The adhesive doesn’t hold permanently on silicone-coated cloth; the same applies to single-skins. If you’re buying a new wing and want it lettered, make sure the silicone-coated side isn’t sewn facing outwards. In our experience the following can’t be lettered: Ozone Alpina 5 S, Ozone Magnum 3, Nova Mentor 6, Nova Prion 4, Nova Ion 5, Nova Doubleskin, Nova Bantam, Nova Aonic and PI 3 (sizes 16 and 19). For other models, just ask us with the make and model.
How long does my order take?
Once you’ve approved the design, lettering is cut and fitted within 5 working days on average.
Can the stickers be reused?
No, lettering is designed for the lifetime of the wing.
Can the material be used for other things?
It’s also suitable for kites, parachutes, balloons, sails, banners and other textiles. Feel free to ask us about materials.
